While we're sleeping, G-d refreshes our soul and our body, so when we wake up the next morning, we feel a lot better. Now we have the energy to run, play, read, and do lots of Mitzvos!
Therefore, as soon as we open our eyes every morning, we say a prayer thanking G-d for restoring and refreshing our soul. It also reminds us that G-d was, and still is, watching over us. We should try to get up quickly, wash our hands, dress, and ma+e the most of the day.
Modeh Ani L'fanecha, Melech Chai V'kayam, She-heh-chezarta Bi Nishmasi B'chemla, Rabba Emuna-secha!
"I offer thanks to You, Living and Eternal King, for You have mercifully restored my soul within me. Your faithfulness is great!"
Try saying Modeh Ani every morning as soon as you open your eyes. It's the best way to start each day!
Wake Up, Yidden!
Whom Should You Fear Most?
The Empire Strikes Out!
When we go to bed at night, we're usually very tired. It's hard for us to read or concentrate on our homework. We don't have a lot of energy. All we want to do is close our eyes and sleep.
