Fathers Know Best!
  Judge Others Favorably!Mind Your Manners!
During the summer months, we read Pirkei Avos, Ethics of the Fathers. It contains wise advice on how we should conduct our lives. Here are some sayings that we can learn and live with!

  • Hillel says, "Be of the disciples of Aaron, loving peace, pursuing peace, loving your fellow creatures, and bringing them near to Torah."

  • Rabbi Akiva says, "Tithes (giving charity) are a fence for riches."

  • Rabbi Yehuda HaNassi says, "Know what is above you, an eye that sees, an ear that hears, and all your deeds are written in a book."

Rabbi Riddle's Kwazy Kwestions:
  1. Shimon the Righteous says, "The world stands on three things, Torah study, prayer, and good deeds." What does everything else stand on?
  1. The ground!
