Law and Order!
Good Shabbos! You shall make Me a sanctuary and I will dwell within them!
The Ten Commandments were given at Mount Sinai. However, G-d gave us many other commandments as well. Some are called Mishpatim or "judgments." These laws help us to create a just society. Here are a few:

  • If a person's ox falls into a pit, the person who dug the pit is responsible for any damages.

  • A person who steals an object must return it and pay double its value to the owner.

  • The Jewish people must loan money to each other without charging interest.

Rabbi Riddle's Kwazy Kwestions:
  1. According to Judaism, one must obey the laws of the land, including traffic laws. Yet there is one driver who never gets a speeding ticket. What kind of driver is it?
  1. A screwdriver!

Good Shabbos! You shall make Me a sanctuary and I will dwell within them!
